Frequently Asked Questions
Q: When should I get my cast done?
A: The optimal time to get a cast done is between 36-38 weeks, unless you are worried about an early pregnancy at which point, i would suggest 34 weeks.
Q: Where do you do the casting?
A: I come to you for the casting, then take the cast home to do the artwork and finishing.
Q: How long does it take to cast my belly?
A: The process takes approximately 20 minutes.
Q: How long till you are finished the cast?
A: Depending on how busy I am, it can take from 4-6 weeks.
Q: Does it hurt?
A: I’ve never heard anyone complain about it hurting, but there can be some discomfort with the feeling of being constricted as the cast dries. Despite this feeling, the process is quick and harmless, and precautions are taken to avoid discomfort. Please note that it can be difficult for certain women to sit still for very long while pregnant, and this can cause women to feel faint.
